sold out

This is the 1/150 of the Palm Springs Pool, #1 print series. The paper used is Hahnemühle photo rag baryta. The image area is 10 x 10.1 in. and the full height and length of the print is 14.5 x 12.1 in. to mimic the area of the white border of an actual Polaroid. Frame is a aluminum brushed silver. The framing is done by a trusted local small business. With the frame it measures a 15 inch height and a 12.5 inch width. The highest quality museum glass possible is used which prevents any fading with its UV blocking capabilities and the polarized finish prevents any glare or light reflection when looking at the print no matter the lighting situation. The front is numbered 1/150 and signed by artist. The singled number print and framing choice makes this a one of a kind piece.

About:

Besides covering 71% of earths surface and it being over 61% of our bodies and never discounting being necessary for every life forms survival - water fascinates me. The feeling of being fully submerged in water whether a swimming pool, ocean, river etc. is so freeing and releases a sort of childlike aura. After moving north to New York City it’s almost become a luxury as pools are hard to come by and the ocean is at least a few hours trip away after a few automobile and train transfers, or even a flight. This was taken with a vintage SX70 Polaroid Camera at a salt water pool while visiting friends in Palm Springs. It was early in the morning and everyone was still asleep and I stood staring at the light refracting it’s way down to the cerulean blue concrete bottom. I’ve never been one to meditate but I believe I went into a meditative state as wind created patterns mimicking a microscopic image of nerve endings or human tissue.
